What should a dental clinic website contain?

By ProjectKaro

Choosing a dentist is a high-trust decision. Patients research carefully: they compare treatments, read reviews, check the doctor's credentials, and look at the clinic before they ever pick up the phone. For most of them, that research happens on your website. Whether you run a single-chair practice in Tarnaka or a multi-branch clinic across Hyderabad, here is the checklist of what your site must contain to turn visitors into booked appointments.

1. A dedicated page for every treatment

Do not bury your treatments in one long "Services" page. Each major treatment, root canal, braces and aligners, implants, crowns, teeth whitening, kids' dentistry, deserves its own page. Each page should explain, in plain language: what the treatment is, who it is for, how many visits it takes, what it costs (or costs from), and what aftercare looks like.

This does two jobs at once. Patients get answers without calling, and Google sends you people searching for exactly those treatments near them.

2. Doctor profiles that build confidence

Patients choose doctors, not clinics. Every dentist on the team needs a real profile: photo, full name, qualifications (BDS, MDS, and specialisation), years of experience, and the treatments they handle.

A note on content: write this in your own voice rather than copying generic bios. Mention what you believe about painless dentistry, how you handle anxious patients, or why you chose this specialisation. One honest paragraph does more for trust than a page of credentials alone.

3. Online booking plus a WhatsApp button

Make booking effortless. At minimum, your site needs:

  • An appointment form that asks for name, phone, treatment needed, and preferred date and time, and confirms it is received.
  • A floating WhatsApp button on every page. Many patients, especially older ones or parents booking for kids, prefer chatting to filling forms. The button should open a chat with a pre-filled message like "Hi, I would like to book an appointment."

A patient who cannot book in under a minute will call the next clinic on Google instead.

4. Google Maps embed with real directions

Embed an interactive map on your contact page with your exact location pinned, plus your address written out in full, landmark included. First-time patients in a city like Hyderabad rely on this, and a clear "Get Directions" link reduces no-shows.

5. Reviews, visible and prominent

Pull your Google reviews onto the site, ideally on the homepage and on treatment pages. Do not cherry-pick only five-star quotes; a genuine mix with your calm, professional replies to the critical ones builds more trust than a wall of perfection. Ask every happy patient to leave a Google review before they leave the chair.

6. A before-and-after gallery

For cosmetic treatments, smile designing, whitening, aligners, braces, veneers, nothing sells like visual proof. A gallery of before-and-after photos (with patient consent, always) is the single most persuasive section on a dental website. Keep the photos honest and consistent: same lighting, same angle, no filters.

7. Local SEO basics

Most of your patients will come from searches like "dentist in Kukatpally" or "root canal treatment Hyderabad". Cover the fundamentals:

  • Your clinic name, address, and phone number identical everywhere
  • Your locality named naturally on each page, not stuffed
  • Fast loading on mobile, most patients browse on phones
  • A Google Business Profile linked to the website

You do not need an SEO agency on day one. A well-built site with these basics in place will outrank most local competitors.

8. A FAQ that answers real questions

Every clinic hears the same questions: Does a root canal hurt? How long do braces take? Is teeth whitening safe? Do you offer EMI? What are your timings? Put them on a FAQ page and on the relevant treatment pages. It reduces repetitive phone calls and, again, matches exactly what people type into Google.

9. Clear pricing signals

You do not need to publish a full price list, but patients should never feel the pricing is a mystery. "Consultation ₹500", "braces from ₹35,000", or "free first consultation" on the right pages removes the biggest friction in booking. Clinics that hide all pricing lose patients to clinics that do not.

The rule of thumb: every section of your site should answer one patient question: "Can I trust this clinic with my smile, and how do I book?"
